Wetzel's Pretzels Expands International Presence with Eight-Store Deal in Canada

PASADENA, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 29, 2017) - Wetzel's Pretzels, the innovator in the fresh-baked pretzel category, today announced it has signed an agreement to bring the company's made-from-scratch pretzels, Bitz and fresh lemonade across Canada through an agreement with franchisee, Cory Reddekopp. Reddekopp will focus on developing Wetzel's Pretzels locations across the Alberta and British Columbia provinces. Currently, Wetzel's has two existing Canadian locations in Alberta's West Edmonton Mall and Reddekopp expects to open two new stores in 2017.

Each of Wetzel's forthcoming Canadian locations will offer all of Wetzel's Pretzels' most popular items, including the company's full line of pretzels, Wetzel Dogs, Bitz and fresh and frozen lemonade. The pretzels will be baked from scratch throughout the day from simple ingredients such as flour, filtered water, yeast and a touch of salt; it's been the Wetzel's way since the company's first location opened 23 years ago.
