Pizza Hut is Serving up Success in Quebec
For the first time in more than 5 years, Pizza Hut is opening its doors to Quebec entrepreneurs with a big appetite for success and a passion for pizza. Pizza Hut is looking to double its slice of the Quebec pizza market through an aggressive expansion throughout the province.
"It's no secret that Quebecers are quality connoisseurs when it comes to pizza - and that's why Pizza Hut is among Quebec's top pizza chains," says Montreal franchising consultant Michel Gagnon, who is working with Pizza Hut. "We're excited to keep the Quebec-Pizza Hut love affair aflame by expanding across the province with new concept franchises." Over the last year, the Quebec QSR Pizza Category has outpaced the rest of Canada and has grown by 8%, while Pizza Hut generated more Sales Revenue than any other Pizza Chain in Quebec in the past four years.2.
"Many new exciting franchise opportunities exist across Quebec," explains Gagnon, adding that, over the next few years, Pizza Hut is focused on increasing its total Quebec locations from 40 to 80 or more.
The new Pizza Hut Delivery units feature a fiery new design concept. Pizza Hut delivery franchises typically require between 900 square feet and 1,200 square feet of occupancy space and are equipped with back-of-house equipment systems, including high speed pizza ovens to create Pizza Hut's famous Pan Pizzas, Stuffed Crusts and Tuscani oven-baked pastas, as well as fryers to prepare WingStreet wings.
Home of the world-famed Pizza Hut Pan Pizza, Gagnon says Pizza Hut signature dishes are top-sellers in Quebec. In fact, Pizza Hut is home to Quebecers favourites like Stuffed Crust and Cheesy Bites and Pizza Huts in Quebec sell over two times more Stuffed Crust than in the rest of Canada.
"As part of the Yum! Restaurants International family, Pizza Hut franchisees have the full support of our multi-national, success-driven team," says Yum! Canada President Sabir Sami. "They can leverage the marketing and operational know-how of a strong global company that has more than 13,000 franchised restaurants around the globe.
We are able to pull from the best practices of our Pizza Hut business across the globe, which we see as a key advantage for us here in Canada."
In Canada, the Yum! franchise system leverages national, regional, and local marketing campaigns, a multi-million dollar marketing budget, exciting menu items, system-wide purchasing power, and much more, explains Sami.
Pizza Hut Canada has more than 300 delivery and dine-in restaurants from coast-to-coast.
