McDonald's Canada Opens its Largest Ontario Location
Les Moulins La Fayette

TORONTONov. 25, 2013 /CNW/ - McDonald's Canada is opening the doors of a spacious new restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto.  The company's largest restaurant in Ontario is located near the corner of Yonge and Elm Streets and showcases McDonald's Canada's most recent restaurant design features.

"The last few years have been an incredibly exciting time for McDonald's Canada as we've transformed our brand to meet the evolving needs of our guests," said Sharon Ramalho, Vice President - Ontario Region. "Tomorrow, we're opening a restaurant that not only supports our expanded menu offerings, but is also uniquely designed to enhance our efficiency and quality of service."

Remarkably spacious considering its downtown location, the nearly 9,000 square foot restaurant spans two levels and is designed with unique dedicated spaces to cater to a variety of customer needs.

A special seating area for on-the-go guests is designed for speed and efficiency and complemented by innovations in ordering and kitchen procedures.  Guests who prefer to linger can take advantage of comfortable seating areas and relax by a fireplace or enjoy the view of Yonge Street from the second floor.

A dedicated McCafé® counter and seating area allows customers to bypass the main counter to order a coffee or snack.  The area will feature the latest McCafé equipment and menu offerings, such as savoury pastries, desserts and other bakery items, and will serve as a testing ground for the latest McDonald's McCafé menu innovations.

With several campuses nearby, the new restaurant offers a welcoming residence away from residence.  Specially designed social areas are perfect for students to take advantage of unlimited free Wi-Fi and 24 hour service.

"It's amazing to have so much space to work with in a downtown location," said Lindsay Bridge, Franchisee for the new restaurant. "It allows us to provide the ultimate experience for our guests and a gathering place for the community to work, play or relax."

The new location reflects McDonald's Canada's recent restaurant-by-restaurant brand transformation.   To-date, the company has re-imaged the majority of its restaurants with inviting new interiors, eye-catching exteriors and customer service enhancing features designed to elevate Canadians' restaurant experience.

Community Invitation
McDonald's is welcoming the community to stop by at 11 a.m. on November 26th to celebrate the grand opening of the 356 Yonge Street location. The celebrations will kick-off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by Ronald McDonald®.
